Collaborating With 300+ Small Scale Farmers to Increase Produce Yield

About Project

Our farmer partnership outgrower schemes seeks to partner with individual and community farmers to scale up their farming operations and produce output yield. The team at SK Essel Farms have indepth and years of experience in this field as shown by our track record.

During the first quarter of 2022, we rolled out the Bebree Farmer Outgrower scheme targeted on communities around the Pokrom catchment area and it surrounding environs. We sent partnership letters and invites to 300+ individual farmers and received 90%+ feedback and participation.

We provided the farmers with farming inputs, pest control, and monitoring services to deploy on their farms. The program was sculpted to coincide with the raining season in the second and third quarters. The total project cost of GHC XXX XXX was incurred upfront by SK Essel with the expected returns paid in farming produce.

The scheme run from the January 2022 to July 2022 with a successful completion and round up in September. The results exceeded expectations with good returns accrued by farmer payback via produce of different types at cost price. The farmers and communities also benefited immensely via increased produce yield and sales at zero cost of capital.
